Sakura: “Sassy, Texas queen!” Hana: “Wild, sweet brute!”

Howdy from Houston! Meet Sakura and Hana, the Queens of the Walk! 🐾

Howdy from Houston! I’m Tammy, and these two beauties are Sakura and Hana, my American Akita sisters, whom we lovingly call the Queens.

Sakura is the brindle drama queen, convinced that every sidewalk is her stage, while Hana is the pinto wild child, all 100.2 lbs of “I saw a squirrel, bless your heart!”

The girls turned 20 months old in September 2026, and our early walks in West University Place were a polite Texas disaster — until we discovered the Julius-K9 IDC Powerharnesses with the Front Control Y-Belt. That handle and front Y-belt turned our little rodeo into a real walk, giving us the confidence to explore Levy Park, Memorial Park, bluebonnet fields, and even enjoy a Hill Country cow vacation.

These girls train like they mean it, then pose like they invented the camera! Our little audience at @sakuranhanayall shows up for the sass and stays for the gear that can handle Houston's humidity.

What makes Sakura and Hana so special isn't just their beautiful coats. It's watching two sisters grow into their harnesses during the same summer they grew into themselves.

And if a patch can survive Hana, it can survive anywhere!

For us, the Julius-K9 IDC Powerharness and Front Control Y-Belt are the perfect combination for keeping two young Akitas from turning the West University sidewalks into a rodeo. Sakura gets to be dramatic without dragging Mama, while Hana — all 100.2 lbs of her — still has room to move when a squirrel calls a meeting.

Comfort, control, and a handle I can actually trust. That's the whole walk! ❤️🐕
