Fun Ways to Celebrate Your Dog’s Birthday
Fun Ways to Celebrate Your Dog’s Birthday
Dogs will always have a place in our hearts and on their birthday you can do something special for them. Even though they don’t comprehend the fact that it is their birthday, you can still make them have a spectacular day!
Birthday photoshoot
Taking pictures of our dogs when they are sleeping in a funny position or just being their cute self has become part of our everyday life. Having a birthday-themed photoshoot with paw print balloons, dog hats or bandanas can make your photos special and fun.
Bake a dog-friendly cake or treats
You can find tons of simple dog treat recipes that can be made with a couple of ingredients and if you’re not much of a baker then a cake can be a challenge but you can still give it a try. Don’t worry if they don’t look perfect because it doesn’t have to be fancy to get your dog’s tail wagging!
Take them on a new trail
Dogs love to explore and if the weather is nice, find a trail near you and take them on an adventure. They love to experience new sights and smells! For extended nature walks, we recommend using our IDC®Longwalk Y-Harness, which was designed for the longest journeys.
New supplies and toys
There are so many toys and supplies to choose from on our webshop! How about our new Duoplay ball that provides great entertainment for both smaller and bigger dogs? If you already own an IDC® Powerharness, check out the super light version of the original design: IDC® Powair summer harness and buy it together with the IDC® Powair leash, to make a perfect match!
Game day
Dedicate this day to play your dog’s favorite games! Frisbee, tug of war, hide and seek, or just chasing each other in the back yard; anything that ensures that they are having a blast.
Doggie birthday party
Invite your friends or family members and their dogs along to celebrate. Dogs are social animals so giving them a chance to play with other dogs will let them have a fun time. If you never had dogs over then start with only inviting a small group so you and your dog can get used to it.
Doggie movie night
There is nothing better than cuddling up with your dog, eating snacks, and watching a movie. It’s even better if you watch a dog movie! After a busy week, this can be relaxing for both of you.
Remember, you don’t need to spoil your dog with large amounts of toys to love you. They will be happy if you take them on a walk, play with them, feed them, and give them lots of love. Dogs will appreciate quality time with their owners and don’t forget that they will love you unconditionally.
